This short answer online survey is open to all Filipino migrant musicians currently holding temporary visas and are engaged in music performance during their stay in Australia.
The survey is designed to determine the Filipino diaspora’s engagement as live music performers, audiences, or intermediaries, including their participation in performances or in watching gigs. Results of the surveys will generate insights into the access, inclusion, support, and participation of Filipino temporary migrants in live music in Australia.
Although your responses will be recorded and the information provided will be used on the publicly available platforms for dissemination of the project, your personal information will not be disclosed publicly. There are no direct benefits for you associated with this survey, however, your responses will help us to generate insights into the access, inclusion, support, and participation of Filipino temporary migrants in live music in Australia, with the aim of informing the design and development of more equitable policies and creative environments. You may also be contacted for further interview if so desired.
There are no foreseeable risks associated with participation in this survey. You will not be identified in any publications resulting from this research, unless you give consent to it. Your participation in this research project is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time, even after commencing the survey.
Research data will be retained in a restricted access electronic file by Griffith University and will be removed from local storage as soon as is practicable after recording. Upon completion of the project, data will be archived to Research Vault and retained for a period of at least 5 years, which will then be destroyed thereafter.
You will be able to access a plain language summary of the research results via email request, which the team will provide via electronic copy (pdf) and email communication. Published results may also be shared to you, if open access option is available, or via links to the published article/s.
